Safety Is EverythingWhether it's you or your loved ones, vehicle safety is not just another feature, it's everything. In the event of an accident, Chrysler LLC engineers have designed a variety of technologies to enhance the performance of vehicle safety and provide additional occupant protection so you have the peace of mind you deserve.Advanced Multistage Air BagsSelect Chrysler, Jeep®, Dodge models feature multistage air bags* that deploy at different rates, depending on the severity of the collision. This air bag system with advanced, dual-stage driver and front passenger air bags provides output appropriate to the level of crash severity as determined by the Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC) and the impact sensors at the front of the car.Side-Curtain Air BagsIn addition to protection by the body structure, side-curtain air bags* offer side-impact protection to front and rear seat outboard occupants.Low-Risk Deployment Air BagThe front passenger air bag* uses unique shape, venting, folding patterns, advanced inflators or a combination of these four technologies to position and inflate the restraint properly for a belted passenger, while also meeting federal safety requirements for out-of-position, small occupants and rear-facing infant seats.Integrated Child Booster SeatsIntegrated child booster seats** offer the peace of mind of always having secure seating for children who have outgrown child seats but are not yet fully grown.Child Seat Anchor SystemLATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren) is designed to ease installation of compatible aftermarket child seats.Inflatable Knee BlockerThis unique air bag is specially designed for the driver's knees and deploys whenever the primary driver air bag deploys, helping position the driver relative to the primary air bag.Interior Head-Impact ProtectionInterior pillars above the beltline and instrument panel, including areas around windshield and rear window headers, roof and side-rail structures, as well as shoulder belt turning loops, are specifically designed to limit head-impact force.
*Always use seat belts. Children 12 and under should always be in a back seat correctly using an infant or child restraint system, or the seat belt properly positioned, dependent on the child's age and weight.
**Integrated booster seats are only for children between 120 and 145 centimetres (47 and 57 inches) in height, weighing between 22 and 38 kilograms (48 and 85 pounds). Always fasten seat belts properly. |
